On 24-26 February 2020, a conference focusing on musical women in Europe in the long nineteenth century will take place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. The aim of the conference is to highlight women who were prominent in the musical life of Europe during the long nineteenth century – ranging from composers and performers to pedagogues, music publishers, and patrons. The keynote will be given by Professor Sylvia Kahan.
The submission deadline for abstracts is on 1 December 2019 (5 pm UK time).
